Dean J. Fardo, M.D.
Dr. Fardo has extensive training and
experience in all aspects of cosmetic surgery of the face and
body and is a diplomat of the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
In addition to his board certification, he is a member of the
American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS). This
organization is for a select group of board certified plastic
surgeons and is by invitation only. Dr. Fardo was also a staff
physician at the world renowned Cleveland Clinic Foundation
where he specialized in cosmetic and oculoplastic surgery.
Dean J. Fardo, MD is a native of
Pennsylvania. Dr. Fardo obtained his B.S. degree in both biology and engineering from
Pennsylvania State University. He continued his education at the
University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he graduated
with Honors and was elected into AOA, The National Medical Honor
Society. Dr. Fardo completed both general surgery and plastic
surgery residencies at the Grand Rapids/Michigan State
University program. After completing his residency, Dr. Fardo
sought out the best additional cosmetic surgery training
available and he completed a cosmetic surgery fellowship at the
Cleveland Clinic and an oculoplastic (eyelid) fellowship at
PACES Plastic Surgery.
After his training was completed, Dr. Fardo
was Attending Staff Physician at world renowned Cleveland Clinic
for 3 years. His specialties there were cosmetic and
oculoplastic surgery.
Dr. Fardo is board certified in Plastic
Surgery and a member of numerous medical societies. He has
authored scientific publications and textbook chapters and has
lectured at several Plastic Surgery meetings. Recently, Dr.
Fardo contributed an article to the Journal of
Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, entitled
"The 'Anterior-Only' Approach to Neck Rejuvenation: An
Alternative to Face Lift Surgery".
Dr. Fardo is a member of the American Society
of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Maxillofacial
Surgeons, and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons
(ASAPS).
